Noted Director Gautham Vasudev Menon has clarified that the reports appeared in the media that a arrested warrant had been issued against him is totally false and baseless. In a statement issued by his council A.Abdul Hameed, said RS infortainment had earlier filed a complaint in the case with CCB in April 2013, after investigation the had been closed again the same party filed in the Magistrate court suppressing the facts that case also closed and now again it has filed in the High court again suppressing the facts of the case. He said he would file a petition in the high court against the RS infotainment for harassing the director and malign his reputation. He further said that the film Ek Deewana Tha had made a loss of Rs.9 crores and there was no profit from the movie.
